I read Chapter 11 of “They Say/I Say” this chapter focused on “Using the Templates to Revise”. This chapter goes into how to put everything together before putting it into your essay. Almost like standing back and looking at what needs to be done, writing a checklist and then ordering everything to revise. It helps show what parts are missing such as a naysayer, or topic sentences. It helped me remember to include the other side and have a different perspective. This greatly helped me revise what needed to be done, not just go for it and get stuck along the way. As I revise my paper, I need to take into consideration what steps need to be done and what I am missing. The chapter gives specific areas to look at and how to revise them, which helps me a lot when coming to revision. Revision for me is hard because it is looking at not only the bigger picture but the small details that make it up as well.
