Hi, my name is Lily and I am a student at the University of New England located in Maine. My major is environmental science. I choose UNE for many reasons, the view, the people and the smaller environment. Students at UNE get the pleasure of smaller classes and more one-on-one time with professors. Every since I was a child I knew I loved nature. Growing up in Connecticut I was surrounded by beaches and forests, this fostered my love of the outdoors. I come from a large family of five kids, two of us girls and three boys. Living in a smaller house filled with many people was the best part of my life. Through my experiences of life thus far I’ve learned to channel my emotions into my poems. They are personal parts of my life that I’ve exposed in an attempt to learn and grow and to help others do the same.
